Description

Period piece with Sandman and Shakespeare conversing upon the completion of the play, The Tempest. Dream agrees to the Bard's request for a celebatory glass of wine. As they walk into the Dreaming, or further into the Dreaming as the entire page takes place in slumberland, Shakespeare compare himself to the main characters in his play.

If anyone comes across a nice page from the other Shakespeare issue, No 19, please let me know. You could basically name your price as I would love to have a companion piece to the image above. Thanks for looking.

Shakespeare pages are my favorite. Issues 19 & 75 are my two favorite issues of that wonderful run (maybe my two favorite issues period). I leave it to the Bard to express my feelings about this page. "For as you were when first your eye I eyed, Such seems your beauty still."

Spectacular page. All the sandman run was great - but I believe tha the Vess issues were by far the top moments - it seemed like the narrative was (if possible) stepping up when Vess was drawing, and the drawing itself, was amazing. Congrats on a great aquisition (and a wonderful collection!).
