DescriptionI credit Marvel Knights DD run as the arc that made me a lifetime comic book fan. Kevin Smith breathed new life into ol horn head in a devastating tale that saw Matt lose himself and question his ideals. The art by Quesada and Palmiotti was sublime. This particular cover was always my favorite of the run as the art team really accentuated the design elements of Ditko's fantastic mysterio esthetic. The imagery of the trapped daredevil as he struggles underneath the fishbowl perfectly captures the story elements of Matt's dire situation at the hand's of mysterio's lies and illusions. Daredevil is forced to listen to Mysterio's plans while recounting the events of the last six issues. In his story, Mysterio reveals that he is terminally ill and that he faked Karen's AID's diagnosis and anti christ sub plot which was a whirlwind for Matt. So excited to finally have an example from my favorite DD story arc.Social/Sharing |

Way greater than an example of the run! Marvel Knights DD was the initiative that was born to save Marvel and get out of bankruptcy. So in many ways, the story told by Smith, Quesada, and Palmiotti has plenty of significance.

HUGE congrats, Karim! I remember this series, including the covers, so clearly. Gamge changing book for me in a lot of ways. What a prime example, whew. Perfect mix of Quesada's pure illustration and design chops. And let's not forget the Palmiotti accentuation! Congrats, again!
