Description

This is the artwork used as a triptych on all three volumes of The Gormenghast Trilogy by Mervyn Peake paperbacks published by Ballantine Books in 1968. The artwork has portions of art painted on separate paper and glued on top creating some three-dimensional areas although it can't really be seen in the photo.
On two separate occasions writer Harlan Ellison had told me this trilogy blew away The Lord Of The Rings trilogy!
