DescriptionGreat moment in the series, with a detective Batman looking through the Holiday calling cards from previous issues. There’s even a little leprechaun! The depiction on this splash personifies the look that Tim sought of a properly-sized crimefighter Batman, with the barrel-sized chest, end-of-day stubble, and huge hands holding this tiny .22 pistol. Thanks G. It will be given a place of prominence on the wall. Social/Sharing |

I thought Batman would have a bigger gun.
That little .22 pistol in his hands would like like a tiny little thing...

Batman is handling these clues that are left as calling cards of a serial killer and we are just as intrigued to find out if his detective skills can finally crack the case. Tim Sale's lasting contribution to the Batman legend on full display in this series and in this splash to depict the Dark Knight Detective.

Long Halloween is on of my all time favourite Batman stories. This splash is superb. Huge congrats. It has to be amazing to have a beauty like this.

One of the best pages/images from BTLH, and that's staying something! Love the use of light and shadow, as per usual with the late great Sale. Congrats.
