Description

This masterpiece is done by famed artist, David O' Keefe. Hidden imagery all over the place. The piece is 64x48in. The Frame is sculpted and hand made. It features Cherubs with Tommy Guns all around the frame and the Corleone Mansion,fish,a horse's head, and fillagre all hand sculpted and painted on the frame. My favorite painting by this legend! Published for a limited edition litho.

Don Vito Corleone with Marlon Brando with a stray cat they found in the sound stage, Coppola with his right hand holding puppet strings and holding his 5 Academy Awards he won for the film,Michael Corleone, Tom Hagan, Kay Adams Corleone,older Peter Clemenza with a cannoli tucked under his arm,older Salvatore Tessio,Virgil the Turk Solloza, Johnny ola, Hyman Roth with a small piece of cake,Luca Brasi,the unnamed bodyguard for Michael Corleone,Al Neri, Frank Pentangeli,and Moe Greene holding
poker chips.
Oranges are seen throughout the painting as a reference to how they appear in the movies and foreshadow violence. The top border has fishes from Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes. The bottom border has a horses head,cherubs holding a sigh that says in Italian, Never Betray the Family, grapes for wine, and two Roman soldiers referencing when Frank Pentangeli tells Tom Hagen that the family is like the Roman Empire.
