Good eye! At the base, that is Floida fossil coral that is hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years old.
Doug on this set did 15 of them. But each one including the board is hand made from scratch. He would change up a few of the characters for the different sets in the series but everythin you see is completely hand crafted. Robin Williams owned the Actors vs producers set until his death.
As a fan of the game and its history and having collected Chess sets over the years, this is without a doubt the best Chess set table I have ever seen. Huge congrats!

Tim Bradstreet's punisher is so slick. I think he will go down as one of the best Punisher artists of all time behind Mike Zeck. This is a fabulous piece really showcasing that contrast he is famous for. Huge Congrats!
