Description

17" x 11.75" image area. Ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board. Black Diamond #1 Splash Page 1 Original Art (AC Comics, 1983). Bill Black pencils and inks. The first page and first appearance of Black Diamond. Signed by Bill Black and with original handwritten purchase correspondence letters and 1983 postmarked envelope from wife Rebekah Black, documenting the sale of this piece and other Black Diamond art, to the original collector.

�To the world at large, Tiana Matthews is involved with Multimonde in the glamorous world of international high fashion modeling. Beneath the glitter, she is in reality an agent for Infocom Three. Her jet-set travels provide the perfect cover for the beautiful but dangerous lady spy.�

Co-writer, editor, and artist Bill Black was the guiding force behind this 1983 adaptation of the action-adventure film starring Sybil Danning. The comic book adapts her adventures as she infiltrates the villainous Quansa crime cartel and helps foil plans to destroy an orbiting space station. Colt, the Weapons Mistress, co-stars in a backup feature.
