DescriptionThe late 90s was a weird time in comics… and this right here may be one of the weirdest … The X-Man title was on its last legs… and for those of you who’s Don’t remember this was Nate Grey a kind of alternate Cable from the Age Of Apocalypse world.. he somehow brought back Madelyne Pryor … his moms clone from a different dimension and started a romantic relationship??? As if this wasn’t creepy enough this storyline brings in Cable (Maddys son) and Stryfe (Cables Clone) - yea … insanity. Yes I was still collecting here but I really have little recollection of the story. So why do we have this you ask??Well- I love the page… JH Williams and Mick Gray (no relation to any of the people above lol) do just a wonderful job with the design of this title page.. the hand drawn framing and integrated X make for a pretty stunning looking page… also I’ve been on a title page binge and this fits right in. and of course I Have thing for the Goblin Queen even when she is in some kinda of crazy alternate reality none-sense! And where else can you get all the cable versions in one place! Social/Sharing |

Cable is Stryfe's clone. Stryfe is Cable's clone. Clone is Stryfe's Cable.

The Summers/Grey family is so twisted and fun. Great representation seen here. Nice find.

Cracker of a page. Nice to have the title and X symbol part of the original art.

Wow! Phenomenal title splash from the amazing J.H.Williams! I love the composition of this splash page! Love the way the titles are hand drawn and warparound the art like a very handsome framing job! The huge X symbol creates the frame and the handlettered title grounds the image. But beyond that, the illustration of Stryfe, Madeline Pryor, Cable and Nate Grey is a gem of a drawing. Love the intense blacks in the scene by inker Mick Gray--There's almost as much black in this image as you'd find in a Mike Mignola Hellboy cover! Plus,, you've got bricks and Kirby Krackle! Overall, a terrific page and a great score!
