I like to get on my soap box and yell at clouds about modern comic art� boooo where are the backgrounds??? Booo pencil only??? Booo I can buy vintage for the price of new� but then I see a page like this and wow.. all the rules go out the window.

I�m a fan of Netho Diaz to begin with� but this page Is just amazing.. first every inch of paper is covered with pencil� the wavy panels are dynamic .. and the pacing with so much action and unique layout is fantastic that all built around a splashy image of Magik swinging her sword.. just magnificent. And all of this done in uber tight pencils� I liked this page so much I tried to find the inks to pair with it.. but the inks were done digitally .. so this is it for published Oa!

🤿 should take notice of this one!

Diaz has been killing it for years on GI Joe. The X-Men also have a big cast, so it's very suited to his style. The big image of Magik cutting through everything on the page is great and so is the panel shape flow. Poor Cyclops finds out his optic blasts have no effect.

very nice tight pencils and great use of space/design. even for such a non traditional layout and such a busy page, all the action and figure work is pretty clear and seperated. cool stuff!

Fantastic modern action page with some great characters. Great seeing this recent stuff in collection, hard not to want to keep getting more of Diaz's work, he's fantastic.
