DescriptionI'm not one for creating tradition, but the last 2 years I've picked up an absolutely EPIC piece from Marco at Heroes, and I'd very much like to keep that ball rolling.Ahead of the show I gave Marco/Cam a short list of potential themes and then closed my eyes and ears. When I met Cam at the Heroes Kick-off party, he told me the piece was not what he expected, in the best possible way. I have to agree with him. When I finally saw it, I may have been physically staggered. This is not the work of a well mind. This reflects an artist, being tortured by themselves. The image is so compelling, so engrossing, that it puts me physically into the film, that moment chasing Batty through the Bradbury Building (so fittingly named!). You can find Marco via his instagram, and arrange your own treasure through Inky Knuckles. Social/Sharing |

Whoa ... that is staggeringly beautiful. You definitely feel like you are placed right into that scene. Better keep up this particular tradition! :-)

Cam called me up, said, "Want a Marco tonight?
It can be for Ridley’s film or just grab a bite
I said, "Oh please, that’s cute, but Roy Batty’s not what I need
No offense, but I'd rather stay home, count sheep
Show me, Lew Bradbury

Oh, show me Lew Bradbury
Since I was 12, I've been a big cast iron fan
Twix me, you brick and mortar man
You need your space and elevator rides
And we'll need an Italy renaissance style

I understand why you were physically staggered by this piece. It is tremendous. The detail in building the angles and perspective is mind-blowing. Keep up the tradition!

I honestly can't tell which is more stunning: Everyone's reactions during the impromptu episode of "Art Collector Movie Talk" at the 4 hour mark of my Show & Tell with Neon Dragon (I think you'd left by then),when I confessed I'd never seen Blade Runner, or this commission. I'm gonna go with this commission!

OK. I've seen a few pieces by him, but this is the best. I need to get on this list. Wow.

It's so refreshing to see a commission that focuses on the environment and it's not a splashy hero shot, let alone one that doesn't even show the charavter's face.

Holy crow! That's an ambitious undertaking of perspective, executed to the hilt. Will viewing times be offfered during SDCC?

Jawdropping in person. The depth that is achieved here both with tone and in perspective is next level.

My first thought was this has to be a monoprint with the precision and tone variations. Apparently architecture can be sexy. I feel very good about the structural rigidity of this building. I'm hearing Vangelis as I play this scene out in my mind.

An absolutely phenomenal commission. Is it possible to hear the echoes of being struck speechless? Because that's the sensation I'm presently grappling with... I'm stunned by the perspective and lighting, but as I look at this, I hear a faint ringing in my ears as the sounds of flapping wings fade off, swallowed into the inky black of the piece. Stunning and insane. Incredible! My most sincere congrats, M L!

Phenomenal! Jaw-droppingly cool piece by Marco Ferrari. Marco created such a powerful sense of space here. It's almost photographic in its complexity. The scene just draws you in. Amazing.

Stunning! I'm in the Bradbury Building! Incredible perspective, texture, detail of the railing and elevator. Almost looks like zip-a-tone on the pants. I just rewatched the Outer Limits episode, Demon with a Glass Hand, that also was filmed in the Bradbury.
