DescriptionDid you ever not know something existed… never mind that you needed it.. until you see it then BAM have to have it?? Well that’s what happened with this piece. Growing up in the 80s and early 90s nothing was bigger then Air Jordan.. and the only thing that came close to my love of comics as a boy.. was sports.. specifically football and basketball- and Jordan was the pinnacle of that. When I saw this painting on EBay it caught my eye instantly.. melding all the mystique of Michael.. the game of course but also the gambling, flashy lifestyle , Hollywood all of it in one piece! Trying not to be impulsive and just buying the 🐿️.. I started doing some digging and found it was a page from a nearly 200 page graphic novel depicting Jordan’s life.. the good the bad and the ugly. A true passion piece by Wilfred Santiago.. 100% written and fully painted by him.. critically acclaimed and all. But still nothing that ever popped on my radar until this. So I bought the piece.. and also ordered the book. When the painting came in I was still very happy (already framed and on a wall) and then the book showed.. and it’s Gorgeous.. but this piece in my opinion is the best page in it! It is the end page and you can tell was made to grab a prospective buyers attention.. well it sure got my attention!Digging around the internet.. I haven’t been able to turn up another page owned or sold.. not on caf.. or ha or any of the usual places we look.. I wonder if there is a story to this.. or it just only interested me lol.. either way I’m into it! Social/Sharing |

Wow Jason thats pretty damn cool! I was a big 90s Bulls / MJ fan as a kid myself, never knew about this graphic novel project so thanks for the info and Id say this is a well worthy squirrel. Nice pickup!

I didn't know about this either but love it. Takes me back to watching basketball as a youngster.

Great designs in this art, lots of fun cinematic things to look at, feels like a fun poster for a movie about Jordan.
