DescriptionThis was a concept piece Bernie did for the famous Web of Horror Cover for issue 4. This drawing gets me every time i look at it. What horror / Bernie fan doesn't chuckle when they look at this picture. Love the man, and love his art! It is on the short list for being sent to the framer next.. along with my House of Mystery Splash.Social/Sharing |

I had the chance to buy this circa 1987. I was 16 or 17 and couldn't afford the whopping $100 price!!! That was about 25 hours of work at the Carls Jr. lol. At the time it was owned by a collector who lived in Thousand Oaks, CA (a couple of miles from the mall where I worked). He had Frazettas and Wrightsons covering his walls. I don't remember his name.

Steve, that's awesome! It's a really small world sometimes. I definately had to drop more than a hundred, but i think the 25 hours of your time was a bargain. I think it cost me something like a 40 hour week. If i'm doing my napkin math right. I love this image. Bernie's morbid sense of humor really shines through on this one.
I'd pay an entrance fee to see a room covered in Wrightson and Frazetta. You were a real lucky kid that day. Thanks for the note. It put a smile on my face.
