DescriptionJean-Claude Forest (Le Perreux-sur-Marne, 11 sept 1930 – Paris, 29 dec1998) famous to be the creator of the comic Barbarella in the 1962 from which comes later in the 1968, the movie directed from Roger Vadim and interpreted from Jane Fonda. Here can be found an original art earlier work published the 1951, JC Forest started to work in 1949, the story talks about the adventures or a primitive character Rao, and note also the presence of a pretty woman prehistoric ancestor of the future Barbarella. Note also that this artwork was prepared with glued new text, translated from the original french (still visible under transparence) to swedish language, probably a project never completed to print the story even in north Europe (Sweden). Very cool page. Neat to see J-C's early style. It reminds me very much of Jesse Marsh.

I didn't knew Jesse Marsh (July 27, 1907 – April 28, 1966) and I read on wiki that he draw an earlier Tarzan, all is matching, so I bet that the young teenager Jean Claude (born in 1930) read and grow up with his drawings with fantasy atmospheres with vulcanoes, dinos, wild world.
