Description

There's some artists who, just by their unique aesthetics, the ways in which they interpret a character or, I suppose, the way they are able to interpret reality and make it wholly in their vision; leave an indelible mark on your soul. Well, on mine, anyway.

Alcatena is one of those artists. Whether he's inking Tim Truman, or doing all of the art on subjects I was already actively seeking out, his line, his style always spoke to me. When he'd happen to be the artist for Conan, Batman, X-Man or so many other titles of interest it just felt like the universe talking to me.

I've never actually communicated directly with this living legend, that happened through his agent.

I'm not even sure why I settled on this subject, but I feel it was done justice, as should never be in doubt.
