Description

End Of Evangelion is an incredible close out to a fantastic series. The series ended on a bit of a philosophical/psychological note. In my opinion, it was vital to understanding and framing the entire story. Many fans were left unsatisfied by the hints of what happens and thus "End of Evangelion" is what Anno delivered to satisfy the fan base.

It opens with one of the greatest action sequences in anime. Unit-02 battling a group of devastating Mass Production Eva's sent by SEELE to launch an assault and take out everyone at NERV HQ. If you've never seen it, try, it will leave an impact.

Great to have a cel from that sequence with Asuka in Unit-02 going off. My commission from Ian Bertram is a call back to the beginning of this sequence as Unit-02 awakens.

Awesome Unit-02 battle cel from the "2-episode movie" - Asuka's prob my personal fav character from the show and always loved the look of her Eva as well. As far as the philisophical/psycological end to the original main series, I personally loved it but def understand why it didn't click or connect with some - and I think End Of Evangelion serves as a better more proper ending for folks who feel that way, and for people like me who love the original ending this served as additional context to what was going on in those episodes in a new way. I can't rewatch the series anymore without watching the movie right after.
