DescriptionI really enjoyed this series. For me, the visuals in Murder Falcon are as good as Johnson's commissions, which are out of this world, and the story was poignant, humorous, and satisfying. This DPS is my favorite image in the entire story (though the cover to this issue is pretty spectacular as well...). I love the slow-motion dreamlike quality of the stampede, the lobster/monster design, the arm reaching out of the massive eyeball, the motion effects, and the lettering; and it's got Nate, our hero Jake, and his spirit animal MF in the foreground dwarfed by all the crazy action filling the scene. It just screams "Daniel Warren Johnson" to me! Can't wait to see his next project. A big thanks to Felix for another smooth transaction!! Thanks for taking a look! Social/Sharing |

DUDE! sweet! I really love this DPS. This was a great issue I'm glad Dan decided to do a drop for it, and was surprised when they annouced it. My brain thought that they had sold it complete. So, I'm glad that there was that one last opportunity.

Thanks Keith! I was very lucky to get pages from this book since Felix and DWJ had indeed initially put it up to sell complete, which is more than I can do for the time being... At least one collector apparently did try to grab the entire issue, but only after Felix and DWJ had advertized the art drop and they stuck to their word and sold just about every page in minutes. I was hoping to grab a page from Issue 8 (the one you labeled "Victory!" is my fave from that issue), but I'm glad you managed to add that entire amazing book to your collection!

Yup that makes a ton of sense, and I’m glad they kept their word. I think they’re both pretty good like that in general. That hammer crashing the anvil is really something to see! And thanks :D I think you’re collection is pretty bad ass too :D

Great double page splash and I love how the words are incorporated into the drawing. Very nice.

Daniel Warren Johnson is a genius. His art works on many different levels. This DPS from Murder Falcon is just a stunning example! Great pick-up!
