DescriptionSo pleased to have a 6x9 DWJ sketch of Hjelmdar making music! I really enjoyed this character in Murder Falcon and wouldn't mind seeing him return in a prequel or future story set in that world...It was great to see Dan at the Chicago Fan Expo --- I know lots of wonderful people who create comics, but I can't think of any who are nicer, more generous with their time and advice, or more appreciative of fans than DWJ! Thanks to Dan and Felix for another smooth transaction, and thank you for taking a look! Social/Sharing |

Dan always brings the energy it doesn't matter if it's a cover, a page, or a commission and this one doesn't disappoint! I'm obsessed with that little levitating rock in the bottom middle of the image, it's the perfect little details that sell thw power of the image. Congrats on another beautiful piece!

Yeah, the breaking ground with levitating rock in the foreground and electical storm & atmospherics forming the backdrop really make it for me. Thx for your comment!

So very good. Maximum riffage and power on display. DWJ's work in Murder Falcon prompted me to revisit some old and new metal bands. To your point, I'd love to see a prequel or side story.

I look at you all
See Dan's sketch there that's shredding
Hjelmdar's guitar falcon screech
I look at the floor
And I see the ground quaking
Inks like guitar gently sweeps
I got in line, nobody told you
How to compose with brush
I don't know how white out controlled too
Dan brought the soul too
I look at the art
And I notice head banging
Hjelmdar's guitar rock techniques
With every big take
Dan must surely be riffing
Still my Hjelmdar rockin' beats

This piece does suggest a sound track, doesn't it? Glad you noticed the head banging --- love every line of these lyrics!
