DescriptionI'm not much of a sports fan, and even less of a pro wrestling aficionado, but I'm loving this new series by DWJ! I had to sit out the first OA drop, but luckily Dan and Felix decided to treat fans to a second chance so I clicked like mad and landed a page. I wanted something with Lona Steelrose, Cobrasun, the Orangabang team, and plenty of action. Great character interactions on this page, I love the big kick and dodge, and the wide eyed face acting in the last panel sets up the action on the next page, so I guess this is an in-utero-Lariat page in David Mandel's parlance lol. In fact, DWJ kept the following page for himself I learned from watching Felix's live podcast. The only other piece from the series he held onto is the cover to the TPB.In any case, as with every DWJ story, there are no weak pages in DaP, so I would have been delighted with anything from this book. So glad one of my purchase requests hit paydirt! DWJ left a note on the back, presumably for the purchaser of the page, that reads, "Big stream while drawing/inking this one today! Over 70 people showed! Awesome. -DWJ" referring to his Friday with DDubs Youtube show, which I frequently watch. It's amazing to see him crank out world beaters like this page in real time while entertaining fans' questions and explaining his process. My hat's off to Dan and Felix for offering so many opportunities for collectors to grab a page from this series, rather than just selling all issues complete as they could have done. Thanks for taking a look! Social/Sharing |

Yet another striking piece by DWJ in your collection! That "dodge" onomatopoeia and the leg that seems to pop out of the page are just great!

Incredible motion and energy. But your own excitement about getting this is even more interesting to me than the art itself!

Action as big as it gets with one of the best pages from issue #3. Now that's a kick!! Congrats on a top tier DDubb interior! Couldn't go to a better guy!!!

Wow what a perfect page to have from this series! It has all the hallmarks of Daniel's style you would want on a page and you have the added story of fending off hundreds of people to get it! Congrats! I am also not much of a wrestling fan but because of his kindness and enthusiasm on his livestream shows and of course the incredible work he does I'll always show up for whatever he's working on regardless of subject matter.

-INCREDIBLE- DWJ page you got, a a! The energy just pours off this thing, from the lettering on the page to the slanted panels, and Cobrasun's "swing and a miss" kick is so wicked awesome that it not only breaks into the neighboring panel, but through THAT one as well... and then off the page! Looking at the thumbnail here while leaving a comment, and that kick looks absolutely 3D. :) Fantastic example, a a - sincere congrats!

Kick-ass page from DWJ's Do a Power Bomb! Love this dramatic page with Lona Steelcase facing off with Cobrasu and Orangabang! It's got the kick and the dodge and the wide eyed final panel. What more could any comics fan ask for? Great, great pick-up, congrats!
