I'm surprised Byrne didn't give himself carpal tunnel syndrome with this cover. He just loves to draw every shard of exploded stuff! This is a sweet and memorable JB cover. I loved his work on Superman, and the "Marvel Style" he brought with him. He really revitalized the title back for me when I was a kid. Great find. Big congrats!

I couldn't understand why everyone kept telling me this cover was "all mummy". Sure you can see a lot of great mummy art, but you can also see 80% to 90% of a pretty decently sized Superman. This was the bargain of that auction, in my mind! Well done, man, great acquisition!
