DescriptionMy brother Stuart imported many French copies of Juanjo Guarnido's Blacksad and Sorcelleries. When Dark Horse released a new Blacksad English edition in 2010, I was able to fully appreciate the work. It is truly brilliant. When I heard Juanjo was coming to the Big Wow! ComicFest in San Jose, I was thrilled to get the chance for a drawing. I chose the little girl Kyle from the second story Arctic Nation. She is missing at the beginning, but survives her ordeal thanks to detective John Blacksad. If I had thought faster, I'd have asked for Blacksad carrying the girl as on the cover of the French album.Social/Sharing |
