Classic splash page to Marvel Team-up Annual #1 featuring the team-up of Spider-Man & the newly formed X-Men team!

1st appearance of the New X-Men outside of their own title. This comic came out the same time as X-Men #101. That makes this the 11th appearance of Wolverine & the 10th appearance of the New X-Men. This is also the 2nd appearance of Jean Grey as the Pheonix!

In this issue, Spidey and the X-Men are attending a secret airborn summit on man made mutation when their plane is brought down by a band of researchers transformed by a nuclear meltdown.

With an atomic explosion in the background, it's a scene of mind-boggling Marvel magnificence, created by the talents who know how to thrill,Buscema & Esposito.

Love, love, love, MTU. One of my favorite titles growing up. I remember this Annual well, with this incredible splash being especially memorable. Just had a birthday, so feeling a little old. But thanks for taking me back to my younth.

You always know the best action is coming with the slow-mo run away from an explosion. Nuclear is fitting, it's an amazing splash. Big congrats!

This fantastic combo of characters makes me think of a slight variation on that old Reeses Peant Butter cup slogan: "Eight great tastes that taste great together!" Really wonderful title splash!
