DescriptionSo this year at NYCC … I only went one day , and I had made it through the day staying well within budget (a first for me and I’m sure a rarity for a lot of you). I was getting ready to leave so I stopped by the Essential Sequential booth to say goodbye to my buddy Jason S… and as the OA gods would have it.. there was some kind of misunderstanding or something and this absolutely wonderful Emma Frost was suddenly available! I am a sucker for Art Adams … and a sucker for the White Queen.. so suffice to say my streak of going over budget at cons is intact!Social/Sharing |

Is it ever possible to pick up an Art Adams piece and not go over budget 😄 Always loved Emma and this is absolutely killer! Congrats!

I don't know what it is, but I find that whenever Arthur does a side glance on his portraits, it's so much more interesting than when they are looking straight at you. This one's a beauty. Love the bold, clean, linework.

There are OA gods? Guess you have to pay rather than pray to them. Lol. Worth the pain.

The mistake was made by the guy who turned down this date with the White Queen. The tightness of those powerlines create a moire effect!

What luck! Too bad it's X-Men character, but still awesome anyway.

I understand why you can't pass on this one when you saw it!

Well if there was a piece that was going to continue the streak despite your intentions.... :)
Love how she's looking to the side, and you got them trademark AA details, particularly with the hair. Congrats, man!

There's a lot to like here. Personally it's the volume and tone he achieves by varying the line weights and density in that background. Master class by Adams as usual!

Great Arthur Adams for your collection. The style is on point and immediately know it's an Adams. Cheers!
