DescriptionI wrote about this before when I got pg. 12 from this issue and I'll repeat it here: Spectacular Spider-Man #239 is very special to me. In the first few years when I started collecting comics, I would almost always look for back issues with the Lizard, since he was never in any of the current comics that were being published at the time. It wasn't until this issue that the original Lizard (Dr. Connors) returned and that I decided to start collecting every single current Spider-Man comic being published. For the longest time a fellow CAF OA collector was the owner of this piece. I waited and hoped that he would one day let this piece go. Eventually he did and I was the lucky winner! What an epic DPS: Spidey facing off against the lethal Lizard, with Curt Connors' wife-Martha, and son-Billy, watching helplessly! Social/Sharing |

Awesome acquisition! The Ben Reilly body language from Ross was different than the Peter Parker poses and the Lizard pose had such a monsterous look that you feel bad for the son witnessing this.

This is a fantastic double splash--Lizard is my favorite Spidey villain and he looks terrific here!
