That of course reminds me of the Cheers episode where Woody is dressed up like Mark Twain, spouts all kinds of Twain quotes, and unwittingly woos a lonely elderly woman. Great episode.
My favorite Twainism: "Never put off til tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow."

Thanks! Yeah, those jewelry boxes caught my eye too, cuz necklaces are literally spilling out of them. They weren't packed very well apparently.

Ah, so YOU got this one! Fun stuff! Bob Brown was a very solid draftsman and underrated because he wasn't flashy. The organic inks from Janson also serve to give the pencils more punch. Sweet!

The Attica Hilton! Complete with hot and cold running cockroaches! Pretty sure we stayed there once when I was a kid.
Great Bob Brown classic page.

Janson was already adding the grit and grime atmsphere to the big city crime ridden streets here! A reflection of mid 70's NYC that became a genre in itself.

So true, Marcus. I've mentioned it in other threads. Marvel really loved NYC in the 70s. The grit, the grime, the hustle and bustle and people-jammed space. I always loved it.

Congrats on the Birth Page of Bullseye...most people don't know this, but he's behind all the smoke ;) He was a huge pitmaster, and turned villain once Daredevil ruined his 14 hour brisket 'SAVING THE DAY'. Tragic!

The image itself is enough but from Bullseye's first issue?! Wow. Love the big lettering of his name there! Congrats!
