I was really lucky to snag this great Legion pinup when Steve put it up for sale on his website in 2013. While he occasionally posted art for sale, it was very rare that he would offer something this detailed and I was usually too late when something did come up for sale!

Steve was happy for TwoMorrows to use the art for the cover of Back Issue Magazine #120 in May 2020. I was also thrilled, as this became the second piece of Legion art in my collection to be used for a Back Issue cover, the other being the Mike Grell/Bob McLeod commission used for #14. TwoMorrows was kind enough to send me a color image without the logos by Glenn Whitmore, which I've included here.

I still can't believe Steve left us so prematurely in January, 2021. He was such a great artist and so accessible to his fans.

Lightle was such a masterful artist. Loved his Flash covers. I have never seen this, so it is great to be able to view it here. Thank you. The entire piece is brilliant with the various poses and powerful body language, especially Mon-el's pointing.
