I saw a Usagi commission Eric did for another collector and absolutely loved the Toshiro Mifune-esque character he was able to infuse into the drawing so when I met Eric at Wondercon this weekend I knew I had to get one of my own! Thanks so much for the beautiful piece Eric!

Update- Sold 08/20.

Love Eric's version of Usagi!
It's one of the (many) characters Eric draws so well, I wish I was a bigger fan of the character, so I could justify getting a commission of them for myself ;-)

I’ll be honest, I like Usagi as a character but I actually haven’t read that many of his comics but when I saw Eric’s version of the character I knew that’s what I wanted. He’s just too good! It was between Usagi and Cable (someone Eric also draws extremely well) but ultimately I don’t really have any connection with that character at all so Usagi won out. Plus I do love the movie Yojimbo 😄
