How the hell did I miss the fact that you own this? (Probably because the rest of your galleries have distracted me.) But: I missed Simonson's whole run on Thor and read it in trades. It holds up. It's excellent storytelling. And while some examples are just "oh, it's so hard to get anything by that artist -- it's amazing you managed to get one" -- this is truly spectacular work. It's everything one would want in a Simonson.

There is so much art on CAF that I am bound to miss some of the great pieces people have posted, but I am dumbfounded as to how I missed this. I mean, I just assumed Mr. Simonson kept all his covers from this run, but not only is this a rarity in that regard, this is one of my favorite covers of the run (I even had a friend get a copy of it signed for me when he met the artist recently).

An incredible cover. Simonson conveys so much fantastic imagery yet takes such care in details like FFF's nail beds! Outrageous and wonderful. Bravo!
