DescriptionThis is a piece of concept art that Jack Kirby did in the 1970s for animation pitches at Ruby Sears. There are several I've seen, but this one struck a chord with me because it reminds me of the type of guys that I knew and saw at a local coffee shop that my dad took me to when I was a kid, all farmer/trucker types, all good people. This was originally given as a prize to the top contributor to a Kickstarter project done by Jack's grandson, Jeremy. It was a book about the life and times of Jack, and Jeremy's experiences with him. I struck a deal with the fellah who was that top contributor. I also have a letter of provenance from Jeremy Kirby that I got myself, confirming its origin and authenticity. Score of a lifetime for me, personally!Social/Sharing |
