Description

Bought this page because A) I love title splashes B) Apocalypse and most importantly C) It draws from a 4 issue mini series called "The Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix".

That mini series told the origin story of Mr. Sinister and his transformation from a scientist, suffering the death of his son and losing his wife, while obsessed with his evolutionary theories that genetics would one day give rise to mutants.

Scorned as a fool by his piers he was slowly driven towards the circumstances leading to him meeting and being "changed" by Apocalypse.

This earlier version of Apocalypse went by the name En Sabah Nur and was created in that "Further Adventures" mini-series illustrated by John Paul Leon which I have some pages from.

I can't imagine this being depicted that often in the Marvel Universe so got this to go along with my John Paul Leon pages from the original story and moment in Marvel History.
