Description

The first page to a story in Spiderman Tangled Web by Ted McKeever. This page is really just a set up page but I liked the pacing of it. Shows the start with a city scene and panels that give the place a personality. The rest shows characters doing small things, doing a street report, drinking from a straw, a man approaching, a girl blinking and having a cup of coffee. I think it's a great example of cartooning to set up a scene. Wanted a page of Ted McKeevers work with the big 2 and this one just kind of called to me. Thrn Ted McKeevers writing ads the context and layers to it all. A humble page but done well in his signature style.

Gritty street level art by McKeever. He's not known to draw pretty pictures unless you love the raw visceral look of the big city. It's people you may meet there and the closer you look, the more nightmarish they look.
