Description

Or as I like to call it, DeaThanos, are depicted here in their tragic, unrequited love dance as a universe trembles. Angel Medina was the first pro comic book pencil artist I professionally inked for Marvel Comics back in 1992 on Warlock & the Infinity Watch thanks to Jim Starlin (the first pencilled pages even arrived on my b-day January 4!). I grew up powerfully moved by many of Jim's stories, usually centered around Adam Warlock and the then Infinity Watch members so this was an ideal dream project for 2 years being broken in by Angel's inker-killer detail. Later I would also collaborate with Tom Grindberg, Steve Carr and Pat Olliffe on the series. Thus began the journey within the cosmic Marvel editorial office with so much ahead of me.

This 11X17 blueline commission on 2-ply board was my first for client Drew Cheskin. I completed it May 2, 2019. I then had Tom Chu color it as a print. It's always a relief when I can redeem myself currently for the weak work I did early in my career.
