Description

Sal Velluto has been a superb partner since we first collaborated in 1997. One thing about him is that he can be personally generous and when this year my wife lost her job of 10 years he tried helping out by sketching on some covers for me to ink and sell online or at a convention. He asked for my preferences. I said instead of Black Panther which we've done for the umpteenth time let's do wraparound images of Batman and Baron Karza (from Micronauts). Batman we've done before in print and for commissions. But being a Micronauts fan I wanted to see what a Velluto Karza would look like. As he's done, he reinterpreted the design. I used my Pentel white correction pens through Batman's cape. For BK, Sal handled the Kirby Krackle in black and the red highlights. I used some dry brush while inking his armor. I finished these on June 5, 2024.
