Description

John Romita, Jr.! Whereas I find the other page I have from this issue striking due to its bare bones and powerful �stripped down� composition (featuring dramatic images of the central players and not many background details at all), this one is absolutely the reverse�. Here you have equally powerful central figures displayed in a roiling sea of backgrounds, a hyper-detailed visual onslaught in the Mighty Marvel mystical manner; a veritable multiverse of madness!

JR, Jr. and Janson team up to bring their modern day A-game to the foreground characters here as well; Thanos cuts an imposingly striking figure in the first panel, offering weight and presence even while bathed in the intense glow of an infinity stone (some great lighting effects) and The Hood is washed out thanks to the blazing illumination of three stones of his own�. An all-around tour de force of inking acumen by Klaus Janson.

Not that you should feel cheated in any way, but when I look at the mind blowing bottom panel, all I can think of is how I wish it was a huge DPS. This page is everything you would come to expect from a JR Jr. and Janson collaboration. Just a treat for the eyes.

I love the power JRJR brings to characters but holy COW Klaus has done some heavy lifting here! I'd love to see this page close up because it looks like he's resorted to both inking AROUND designs in negative space and OVER them with ink/whiteout splatter. A great page and example of what decades worth of inking experience brings to the table. Congrats, Jason!

In case I haven't already told you, I both love and hate seeing you update your gallery. I love it because I know I will more than likely see something nice. But I hate it because every time I think of what I want to say about it, I read your description and find you've already said everything I was thinking, thereby making it extremely difficult to leave you a comment that says anything of substance! Sigh....
