DescriptionI really love the backgrounds that JR, Jr. adds to his work, but I find these stark panels very striking. Whether due to impending deadlines or to leaning on the computer coloring to fulfill the atmospheric needs of the narrative (or perhaps a bit of both...?), the empty space on this page really grabs me.It also allows a greater opportunity to revel in the inking here; strong, regardless of how spare it is. I love how Red Hulk is shaded (especially in that top panel), with the Infinity Gem light source in his right hand and the short, sharp lines that are piled close together to delineate the shading (a great representation - a "signature move" - by this terrific artistic team). Very nice first JRJR page, Jason! A battle page between 2 Reds :) It’s interesting what you say about the blank space, and I’d agree, it adds some dramatic effect to the characters. Looks cool next to the published! Congrats!
