DescriptionWhen my local con - FACTS in Gent - announced Alvaro as one of there main guests I was over the moon... This artists has been blowing doors since I noticed his work on Justice League Dark - he was pretty much on top of my reading pile with every issue he put out. The combination of him with James Tynion IV makes his art even better (somehow?)I reached out to him on instagram and within a few messages we talked shop over a commission. This time I didn't go for my classic choices like Vision, Beta Ray Bill or Scarlet Witch... Actually it was Kayfabe's episode with David Cho that made me go for The Dark Knight - an homage to Frank Miller. Alvaro made the references subtle - the scared chin, the short ears... Not a full blown recreation but something even better... I fricking love this piece - thanks so much Alvaro! Size: 9x12 Social/Sharing |

The crosshatching is super intense and create layered textures in the shadows that is tough to capture in any other medium.

This is Miller's DK for sure but through Alvaro's lens. Great commission!
