DescriptionThere are historical descriptions of the appearance of the Achilles shield. As historically accurate as Hal Foster was most of the time, I was amazed at his successor John Cullen Murphy's depiction of the Shield of Achilles. The french artist Pierre Taranzano beautifully illustrated my concerns.Taranzano created great comics about the Trojan War, the Iliad. But of course there is artistic freedom for all artists. ;-) Social/Sharing |
