DescriptionWhen I went to Lucca comic festival this year, my main goal was to hopefully find a Rubino. I got this one from the Urania Casa D'Aste auctions that occured live on the first day of the convention. With the help of my good friend Giovanni both making sure I understood the numbers and encouraging me to go one bid higher than I was planning on stopping, I won this page. This is a really early piece by an artist some refer to as the Italian Winsor McCay. I got to learn a lot more about Rubino and his art on an earlier trip to Italy this year and came back inspired to learn more and I did.Social/Sharing |

You don't cease to amaze me, Jeff: you're arguably the one and only not-European collector (and one of the very few out of Italy) who owns an original page by Rubino :) And it's really an excellent one!
