Description

Luis Garcia Mozos is an artist I only recently became aware of. Despite doing extensive work in the 70's and 80's including projects for Warren Publishing and Heavy Metal, he is largely unknown by current comic art collectors. That is something I hope to change with this gallery and introducing you to his art. My introduction came in the pages of David Roach's fantastic book, Spanish Masters of Comic Book Art. Check it out and check out the rest of the Mozos art I have posted including the detailed images in the additional images sections. The third panel was used as the cover for Chronicles of Innom�.

Me too I wasn't aware of this artist, so thanks for posting these beautiful pages! I find he's not second to his colleagues of that amazing generation of Spanish artists born during WWII or shortly thereafter, as Carlos Giménez, Fernando Fernández, Enric Sió, Esteban Maroto, Alfonso Font, Sanjulian... Just to name a few! And his style not only reminds me of the mentioned artists (mostly Sió, Fernández and the early Maroto), but somehow also the late Italian master Dino Battaglia.

Very interesting--also not familiar with him, but his style is distinctive, even among the Spanish artists. Thanks for sharing!
