DescriptionThis wonderful packaged arrived on my doorstep this afternoon. It is the final result of a great interaction with an artist who's work I have had in my collection for over decade. A few months ago, I decided to get a few commissions done this year and I had a short list of European masters that I wanted to approach. Part of this quest resulted in wonderful commissions by Felix Maynet and Walter Minus. As a follow up, I approached Roberto about doing one. After some insightful discussion, we embarked on this journey. Over the next few months, lots of conversations and back and forth and here is the final result. IT is a great looking piece that captures Corto and the Dragon Lady in an opium den circa 1920's Hong-Kong/shanghai. The design was entirely that of Roberto and with some suggestions on little things to help shape the direction of the piece by myself a final result was produced that we both like and had fun with. You can see some prelims that ROberto included with the package. Roberto's sense of design and inking technique are truly amazing and I've always found his art incredibly appealing, even when themes and subjects are odd or disturbing. This Dragon Lady is one of the sexiest in your gallery and the whole piece just fantastic!

Just tremendous. Who needs the Goblin Queen when you have the much classier, scarier Dragon Lady...

For a guy who always professes to love Nightwing as much as you do, you sure do insert Corto into your commissions pretty frequently. This is really nice, but imagine how much nicer it could've been with Nightwing in Corto's place! But I understand Roberto isn't very familiar with the character, so it makes sense you didn't want to risk it. Complimenti!
