Description

As I've mentioned before, I always loved Neal's rendition of Marvel characters! Here is a Neal homage to Jack Kirby's Galactus, complete with the signature Kirby Krackle! I had the honor to fill in the large black areas on this piece for Neal, including the Krackle, so it is a special collaboration to me to be able to own this piece!

Very few characters in comics are foolproof. In lesser hands, some of the best characters in comics are the easiest to mess up. But others are so brilliantly conceived, that it's almost impossible to mess them up. Galactus is a perfect example. You don't really have to convey the omnipotence, because the power is IN the design. They don't call Kirby "The King" for nothing. Anyway, great interpretation of the character by Adams/Cirillo. One look at this drawing and you know exactly what this character is all about.

If Adams did more FF...Wow! The finish combines the grand nature of Kirby, Adams, Galactus, and Cirillo!

Wonderful! Neal Adams should have given more time to explore the far reaches of the universe in search of Galactus... His Kirby approach is just astounding...
