DescriptionDismissively referred to as "Wet Smurfs," the comparison is unfair-- Snorks is genius in its own right. It stands firmly on its own two feet, and any similarities between it and that "other" cartoon, only serve to bolster the "multiple discovery" hypotheses of scientific and artistic advancement-- not unlike Leibniz and Newton independently inventing the Calcus. Furthermore, the differences far outweigh the similarities. For example, instead of saying "smurf" Snorks make a "snork" sound. Also, Snorks are underwater.Social/Sharing |

Snorks was also on the 80's Saturday morning NBC lineup. Out of lawsuits, it was decided that it was better to compete against the Smurfs if they couldn't own a part of them. Snorks had that same kind of look beacuse they both used the Hanna-Barbera studio.
