"In the Future" "Justice is a Black Girl!"

This is one of my favorite pieces considering it's obscure as Hell and I've never seen the original publication.

This was drawn for a rare tabloid sized comic called CHANGES, that was published in 1969. But you might not need me to tell you the date because this hippy-dippy and oh so trippy page, rendered on a board that's almost twice up size, virtually screams late 1960s with its bell bottoms, hair styles, weed smoking teens, giant floating eye and giant face of a Magical Black Chick rocking an afro and an unexplained tear in her eye.

Scripted by Charles Mingus III, this is a very early work by Frank Brunner, who went on to become a fan favorite illustrator of Dr. Strange, Howard the Duck, Conan the Barbarian, Vampirella, Man-Thing, and many more.
