DescriptionI just can't understand how this is in my hands. I have long been an admirer of Josh's art, particularly how insanely flexible he can be with his style (he has so many!).This was drawn with a carbon pencil on 100% cotton rag. There were no tricks he deployed to get these fine gradient, no blending tools, no tissue. All graphite straight from the pencil. He actually used the backside of a hot-pressed piece of watercolor paper to take advantage of the natural texturing that was on the back. The image size is about 12x18, and took him a painstaking amount of time to render. It's truly phenomenal piece. When the newly incarcerated Maxwell Lord turns up mortally wounded in his prison cell, Wonder Woman and Etta Candy are on the case to track the would-be killer. The pencil work is like forged steel! It has an amazing look that Middleton must have spent many hours making it look so perfect any and every manner.
