DescriptionBagley Week, Day Two!Here we have a very early Carnage origin page, plus a nice big splashy panel of Venom in action. This story sequence is part of some reminiscing that Spider-Man is doing during a mock trial for his life, forced upon him by his captors, the Jury. The reminiscing is inspired when a witness named Irene Karnowsky is called. Irene begins her testimony by explaining that her normal life and that of her daughter Suzie was ruined thanks to Venom. This causes Peter to think back to the history of his relationship with the alien symbiote, beginning when he brought it back from Battleworld, and the eventual creation of Carnage from Venom's seed. We're so used to having Carnage around all the time and appearing in major events, but back in 1993, he had only been around for a little under two years, so this recap would have felt quite fresh to readers of the time -- like me!! What a page, AGAIN!!! This is easily one of the best Venom depictions by Mark. Huge congrats on that amazing, splendid, sublime... (indeed, new adjectives really need to be invented when it comes to your acquisitions, Paul) page!!!

One of the best from Bags week, Paul! This one's got a lot to like, namely a Venom image truly indicative of his work on the character. And I'm a real sucker for flashpack pages :) Really a winning piece all around, man - congrats!
