Description

Graphite illustration of Abby from The Last of Us season 2, played by Kaitlyn Dever. Greg Ruth's drawings are always so beautifully and thoughtfully composed, and the varied and nuanced textures he's able to create with graphite are astounding. They need to be seen up close and in person to be truly appreciated.

It seems that the second season of the show was highly polarizing (pretty much like everything else in the world these days). I personally loved it, perhaps in part because I never played the games and therefore had no preconceptions regarding the story or the characters.

It's a beautiful soft toned illustration with or without the context. Ruth's pencils mix realism with the overlay of the natural flora that plays a big part of the story.
