DescriptionThe Marc Davis/Ken Anderson animated "Chanticleer" project picked up steam again in 1960, only to ultimately be shelved for good. Walt Peregoy was selected for a major project of character design for the early 1960s treatment. This is a series of four pieces of character designs from the by Walt Peregoy. These are four individual paintings on light board. One is signed "Peregoy '60." This date reinforces the projects timeline laid out in Charles Solomon's book The Disney That Never Was. These appear to be paintings that would have been used in formal story/pitch presentations. Clear acetate has been placed over each one. Images are 12" - 15".
