Description

One of the greatest and must underrated illustrators who worked in British comics, the great Bill Lacey was an absolute master.

No-one knows who wrote ‘The Man Who Searched for Fear’, which ran for several months in 1973-74.

Unquestionably though, Lacey was at the peak of his powers here.

‘The Man Who Searched for Fear’ has been lovingly compiled and reissued by Bear Alley Books. Copies may be purchased here:

It was called a Zoltar Machine!  It had this bobbing head that looked just like a devil and if you got a quarter in the devil's mouth you could make a wish and I did!  So I made a wish to be big!  That is what I'm trying to tell you!  I changed into a grown up but I'm really just a kid!

Great victorian age steampunk styled page with all the mad scientist and horror elements in the fine illustration.
