Artwork Details

DescriptionThis is a rare strip. I only know of one other person who has a Lance daily and he is on CAF. Drawn by Warren Tufts, his entire run of original artwork on Lance is unknown. I got this strip from Cochran a number of years ago and this strip is the day before the other one on this site. If you have not seen the run of Lance you are missing some incredible artwork. I did an interview with Tufts before his death in a plane crash. It was published by Classic Comics Press in his books on Lance and Casey Ruggles.Social/Sharing |

Beautiful strip! Yeah I also wonder what happened to all those strips. I once owned a Lance daily strip.

I have never seen but one Lance daily and I know someone on the CAF has one. That is it. Where is all his original artwork on Lance?? Someone really has a wonderful pile of artwork sitting somewhere. Dennis

I have never seen a Sunday Lance original (one of those 50 year quests of mine) - I don't own any dailies but at least 10 days worth seem to exist-

I have never seen a Lance Sunday original artwork either. But I remember Carl Horak may have had one years and years ago. I wonder where all that original artwork is as well. Dennis

There's at least one Lance Sunday owned by European collector and devoted Tufts fan. As for dailies, I have gotten the impression that ten days or even a two-week sequence from June 1957 exists.
