Description

I'm just ecstatic to have this! When it came up for auction, I warned my wife that I might go a little nuts. It was listed as Gen 13 1998 Power Pack Trading Card #47 Illustration.

Of course, it was my luck that I had to be out of town the final night of bidding. So I was trying to track and bid on my phone from the boonies, losing my cell signal every few seconds. Somehow, it worked.

Several days after the auction my good friend, Dave Kopecki, messaged me and said he thought the art looked familiar. Turns out it also is the cover for the 1999 Gen 13 Special Edition "Explosive" Chromium Edition B. It's an absurd title, but I don't care. I'm so happy to have it.

Congrats man! Interesting story here, I was eyeing this piece too at the auction as was my other friend but then he noticed that Gen 13#5 was up for sale and encouraged me to go for that thus allowing him to bid for this in peace.....needless to say, that did not work out for him still : ) Glad to see this ended up in a happy home!

this is beautiful. i really am happy you are sharing. as this may the perfect image of the original Gen13 run. Campbell really was able to take the group shot and still give every character a sliver to shine their individual personality. once again, Thanks for sharing.
