Description

One of my favorite comics back in the 1980s was The Elementals. Ultra-smart writing coupled with Willingham's fantastic artwork. Bill used to hit cons in Texas like a maniac back in those days, so I used to see him literally a dozen times a year if not more. This commission of the fire Elemental, Morningstar, was only the second piece of artwork I'd ever bought. He pencilled her for me at a small Houston con back in early 1987, and I had her inked by frequent Willingham collaborator Keith S. Wilson. Pencil, pen and ink on 11x14 Bristol.
